Staveley Town Deal comprises a programme of capital projects that are being delivered in Staveley, Chesterfield. The town was awarded £25m to deliver a projects which included the refurbishment and expansion of a community hall, the restoration of part of Chesterfield Canal, a new Innovation Centre, a Construction Skills Hub, town centre regeneration,
Thomas Lister, alongside economic sub-consultants Amion, were appointed by Chesterfield Borough Council to undertake due diligence for all business cases submitted to the fund.
We produced comprehensive Due Diligence reports for all business cases submitted to the Staveley Town Deal. Our involvement included site inspections of each of the proposed projects, direct discussions with the project leads alongside an early review of draft submissions in order to provide support and guidance. Following submission of the Business Cases, a comprehensive review was undertaken and a report prepared for each project detailing recommendations and providing proposed conditionality to accompany any award of funding. These reports were then considered by the Town Deal Board before deciding whether or not to award the funding to the projects.
Preparation of 10 Technical Due Diligence reports for all projects submitted to the Staveley Town Deal. Recommendations and conditions proposed following a review of the bids were then used by the client to help inform contracting with project sponsors and to ensure that funding was meeting public sector requirements and regulations. This then allowed projects to proceed through this initial gateway and progress towards delivery, with the majority of the schemes now completed or nearing completion.
