Earlier this week, Thomas Lister delivered a Development Appraisals workshop for staff from across the West Midlands Combined Authority, led by Andy Croot and Reece Croghan.
The session focused on the core mechanics of development appraisals, with particular emphasis on the sensitivities associated with key inputs and how relatively small changes in assumptions can have a material impact on scheme value and overall viability.
A collaborative team exercise helped bring the appraisal principles to life, generating a range of outcomes and prompting insightful discussion around risk, judgement, and interpretation within development appraisal modelling.
